Road Tests
** WE OFFER ROAD TESTING FOR ALL
CLASSES OF LICENCES **
A
rental vehicle is available for your road test.
Please call to book the vehicle for your appointment.
If you are 16 years of age or older,
have a valid Class 7 licence, and have met all Graduated
Driver's licence requirements, if applicable, you
can take a road test. Phone our office to book an
appointment. We can arrange to have you tested immediately.
You must supply your own vehicle. A good source of
vehicles are parents, family or friends.
We request that you come for your
road test about 15 minutes early to allow you time
to pay for your Road Test Permit. For a Class 5 licence
please see the list
of registration fees for the current cost.
The examiner will do a brief inspection
of the vehicle to make sure the brake lights, signal
lights and door latches are working properly. You
cannot take passengers or pets on the road test with
you.
The basic road test usually takes
about 1/2 hour. The advanced road test usually takes
about one hour. If you do not pass the test you can
take it again as soon as the next day. You will need
to
purchase another Road Test Permit at that time.
When you pass your road test your
Class 7 Operator's licence will be reclassified as
a Class 5. This will take only a few minutes after
your return from the road test. Please see the list
of registration fees for the current cost.
The requirements for a Class 4 Operator's
licence is slightly different. There is a special
Class 4 knowledge test and vision test. Before you
take your road test you must pick up a medical examination
form to be completed by your doctor. The form is
available at our office.
Road Tests and Knowledge Tests are
also available for all other classes of licences.
We have driver examiners for all classes of road
tests including Class 1 and 3, Class 2 and 4 and
