Land Title Searches

We provide land title registration and land title information services regarding the custody of all original and titles and source documents. We provide land title searches, historical searches and can provide certified copies of land titles.

All land title information and land title documents held by the Alberta Land Titles office are public information. We have access to search the Alberta Land Titles vast database by legal description of the land.

Land Title records may be obtained either by the Civic Address or the legal land description.

Example of Civic address is:

123 Cosy Street , Calgary, AB;

Example of Legal address is:

Plan 1234ABC Block D Lot 90.

Lien Searches

If you make payments on a vehicle, boat, motorhome, even a railway car, the company you make your payment to may register a lien against your property. When you finish paying for the item, the lien is removed.

With this in mind, when you are buying a vehicle you should check to see if there are any liens against it. You don’t want to find that you have become liable for an unpaid debt on the car you are buying. This information is not confidential and is available to the public. We will search the Alberta Municipal Affairs personal property database for liens and registered encumbrances on a wide variety of items including motor vehicles. Search criteria include vehicle identification numbers, serial numbers, lien registration numbers, persons and companies.
